Im currently looking for a hydro tranny for my setup and would like to know which tranny you guys prefer. 99-00 Si tranny or GSR tranny?

Tire size and RPM/ MPH through traps would be nice if you care to share.

ill be running a b16 tranny tranny for my new boosted b18c setup. Ill let you know how it works out.

 

ive tried b16, ls, and gsr. i like the gsr the most. had to shift to 5th with the b16

 

I liked the b16 gearing. On 25s at 141mph the car would pop the 9600 rev limiter right at the 2nd beam.

 

You guys need to rev higher

This yr. /GSR trans./24.5 or 26's/ no good out comes yet

John, what happened at Moroso? When I saw that race on the schedule, I had you guys (in my mind) in the finals. Was paying attention to the qualifications/eliminations on the NHRA website. Guess that's what racing is, shows you anyting can happen, and don't ever count yourself out.

they were having issues with boost going past 10lbs and the throttle cable broke in the burnout box

 

I like the LS tranny, longer gears and high rpms is a hell of a combo..

LS TRANNY with LSD and 24.5'.....less wear and tear on axels.....139.9mph

Paul, I plugged in the GSR tranny on 25's and to go around 152 it will be around 9300 rpm. Hmmm decisions...

Are you B16a tranny guys using the newer S4C tranny out of the 99-00 SI cars?

 

Boost controller wasn't working right the first 2 qualifiers, and then the throttle body shaft broke on the 3rd qualifier. Luckly we had another and got it fixed but I had to change the throttle cable back to the stock one. We tested it by driving it up to the lanes and back, checked the 2 step. Well the little white plastic clip that holds the cable to the pedal worked it's way loose when I was in the burnout box. Hopefully we'll make it up for Englishtown for some really quick runs.

GSR, 149MPH with 25's (147 with 26's), and 9300rpm
