ready for a new tranny!
so my setup is b18b ls/vtec b16a2 head. running on a b16 hydro tranny, and its time for a new tranny (1st and 4th make funny nosies). wondering should i go with b16 again or gsr tranny? i know b16 are great, but 4k @60-70mph and great short gears better for track and great on acceleration. but how about the gsr tranny, any idea. all i know it has longer gears, does that mean like alright acceleration and low rpms on freeway?

Pro
-Great gas milage
Con
-Slower than ****
That about sums up the LS tranny.
Get a GSR. The gears are still pretty short but you don't run 4000 RPM going 60 mph.

Drop a B16 trans w/ an LS 5th.
You'll have awesome quickness and great gas mileage .
Obviously the fuel mileage won't be the same as an LS due to the fact of the final drive being shorter, but it'll be hell of a lot better than the B16 5th.

Re: (zerogravitycrx)
so....
itr tranny; absolute nothing better (LSD and final drive gear), but high rpm's.
gsr tranny; easy to find, good on gas, long gears, low rpm's.
ls tranny; sucks, longer gears, good on gas, etc.
b16 tranny; fast acceleration, short gears, high rpm's.
well my chose is either ITR GSR OR B16, thanks for the help HTmembers
