GM-x344 4 channel 800w amp
Does anyone know how much this type of amp would go for? Its a Pioneer 800 watt amp. It comes with 4 channels 200w x 4. Just curious on how much one of these would go retail.
um i dont think it's 200 x 4, that must be it's max, if lighting strikes and i win the lottery wattage.
200x4 rms is'nt even made by fosgate (closest is 75x4) , so if that's actually max, then it's prob pushing 45 (doubtful) watts x 4 which would put it in the $180 U.S category.

Well right on the cover it says 800w amp. with 4 channels. I will take a pic of it. its got the display in the middle of it. big Pioneer sign on it with a 200w x 4 channel writing on it. so I'm assuming its a 800w amp. I'm just wondering what price is retail for this caues I cant find it.
hmm not sure GM-X is their value line... is this a US spec model? because when i searched google..w/ that model number..the only site that came up was in another language (spanish maybe?)... i went to their US website.. and didnt find that model number either.. so either its an older model.. or its sold in a diff market area than i selected..

I'm not quite sure. I will try to get a picture posted today. I have it in a box at home. Im sure its a 200w x 4 channel amp. Just have to check. My friend said he had a connection so it might not even be out on the market maybe.

notice on the GMX354 from the url posted above, that's a 280 watt 4 channel amp, but can't barely put's out like 25x4 at 12volt (guess) and 35x4 at 14volt (on the site)..
So my initial post stands at saying that that 800x4 you have is in the less than $200 US category because it's truly a (800/2)/4 100 watt x 4 (14 volt) or 75watt x 4 (12v) regular amp
If it were truly 200x4 then you'd have to run 0 gauge wire to it. and it would definetly need something bigger than a 80 amp fuse.
I'm not blasting the amp, just trying to inform you of why it's in that price range

o_Rage_o,
You are forgeting something most amp manf. overstate there power ratings.
At 200X4 the max current the amp could pull is 56 A at 14.4V.
At 12V the max current the amp could pull would be 67 A.
So an 80 A fuse should be fine.
But yes very doubtful that it is really 200X4.
