How may different Key/Lock Cylinders did Acura put into the DC's? I mean, there would have to be a limit to how many they would make... I ask because oddly, my room mates 98 DC4 and my 95 DC4 happen to have the same one... I was wondering how likely that is... I thought it was odd...

 

ARe you saying your key works in his and vice versa?
I used to have an old mazda and my neighbours key worked in it... but scary when you think about it...

 

Yeah, his works in mine, and mine works in his... The chance that we would have the same key/lock cylinder is insane...

One night, a friend and I were out, took him back to his car(01' Chevy Astro) and he had locked his keys in the van... We sat there a few minutes, after he called for someone to bring him extra keys. They were 45 minutes away. I decided that I would just start trying keys on my key ring... Well, thrid key, being the key to my girlfriends(his sister) 97 eclipse, worked... It unlocked his door, but wouldn't work in the ignition... That was pretty weird too..
