Default Splash guards... who needs them?

Seriously... do these things serve a purpose besides to **** me off? Will removing them be the end of the world, or should I just grin and bare it?

if we're talking about the stuff under the engine bay, its there to help direct the air better under the car, reduce lift (increase downforce) and help cool the engine.

your car will still be fine without them anyway. so if you really want to take them off, youre free to do so.

you really dont need them unless you live somewhere really muddy.

you dont have a cool air intake do you. alot of water gets splashed up into the wheel wells, and if your CAI sucks up enough water, that can lead to hydrolock.

if we're talking about mudflaps, i like em too. i have retained my stock springs, it helps to take away from the higher ride height. and they are functional... but i dont get much rain or "mud" here in socal.

Hey! Thats a lyric from some hip-hop song... .

As far as the splash guards go, I would keep them.....I took mine off and I regret throwing them away. And that one dudes right about a bunch of crap getting into your door jambs.

If you really want them off though do it, but hold onto them.

Good advice. I just hate removing them and then getting frustrated when I have to destroy those damn rubber screws each time I want to take them off.

Maybe I'm better off just calming down and keeping them. They're only a hassle when I need to remove the fender, which honestly doesn't happen THAT often.

I took/ripped mine off. Their was only one on the car when i got it and it came off and never went back on. I did wonder how much this will affect air flow around the tires and everything. As for the dirt, spray that **** out with the hose when you wash the car.

keep the splash guards on and keep the upper and lower timing belts covers on the car also. these guard keep your car from getting fouled up from all the crap thats all over the road.
