Default THE DC isn't starting...please read if you have had a similar problem

Hey, after 5 years of owning it, this is the first time it ever not started. I haven't tried to see if it was the battery but I think its a starter problem. Here are a few things i noticed:

1. gauges light, interior dome light goes on
2. headlight don't turn on
3. when I hit the Hazards it has a winding noise then after 20 seconds its on
4. all fuses are intact
5. doesn't crank
6. single clicking noise

I have not recently done anything to it. There was no prior problems

Please lend me some ideas thanks!

Sounds like the battery. has enough juice to just light up the cluster and the dome light. But not enough to start the car.

I'd check everything including the battery. Check the alternator, the belts, distributor, wires, spark plug, make sure you're getting fuel ( fuel pressure, filter, lines etc ). I can't really single out anything according to your description, but that's how I'd go about it. It could be the starter....but it also could be something very simple that could be found by just troubleshooting everything to make sure you're not replacing parts unnecessarily. I.E. wasting money

a single click is usually the starter. try and repeatly crank it, like 10-15 times, if it eventually starts its the starter.

the problems with the headlights and hazards make me think its a battery thing. Why don't you bring the battery to autozone or advance auto parts and let them see if its still good. They should be able to do it for free

sounds like the battery. i would change that first. if you have not done anything to it in 5 years, then this sounds right. lead acid batteries only have a useful lifespan of 60-72 months tops.
