Default Miller Super S-32P opinions please

I am looking for a mig welder and found one locally. I will find out more tomorrow when I call the seller. There are 2 available so I hope to cherry-pick the better one. I did take a welding course in HS more than X years ago.

1998 MILLER SUPER S-32P
Price: $238
Category: Welders Subcategory: Wire Feeds
Make: MILLER
Model: SUPER S-32P
Year: 1998
Hours: 0
Seriall Number: KJ214824

Looking at the pdf User Manual http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o1590l_mil.pdf, I see

Input voltage: 15-100 VDC

and

Power Source type: Contant voltage or Constant current

???

Does this mean it's powered from like a car/truck battery?

It doesn't come with a power supply. Basically, that is only a wire feeder. You would have to have a power supply to run it.

In other words, that will provide you a way to feed wire through the gun, but no electricity to melt it.

Look at this pic below. What you have posted is only the part that sits on top of the larger one, which is the power supply. (this is a different model wirefeeder, but should give you the idea.)

if that's like the 22a you cant adjust voltage on the feeder, and you would need a power source . like pictured above and it's usally 3 phase 480 volts at like 40-50 amps. i dont think you could get that run to your house unless you live on a farm.

Ay! It sounded too good to be true.

While I have your attention, what power supply is in that pic and what line of power supplies are compatible? This is going to end up getting really expe$ive isn't it?

Will buying this from a rental company be a good idea? Here is the website. It may have the list of power supplies.

I mainly need a MIG welder right now.
