hmnnn....you have to do some crazy custom work, and i think there are no mounts available.

and why would you put a K20A (months of modification)? when you could put an H22A (Direct Swap)???

the price difference will be n the thousands, you may spend $7000 more trying to put a K20A in. you need torque to pull your accord.

i raced an RSX Type-S and i beat it, more torque, more displacement....don't waste all your money when you could make your car much faster for less.

I agree. Why lose displacement which sacrifices torque? Accords are heavier than civics/rsx so we need the torque to pull off the line quicker.

man, wussup with the negativity...i love honda tech and all the members, best damn forum i've ever seen...but just because alot of us HT members has had great success with H22s in our accord doesnt mean we shud be so negative to something "diferent" such as a K20 in our cars...u may not think its worth the money or work but maybe he does...and maybe in the long run he wont be making as much power as u with ur H22, but atleast its what he wants and he can say he has a K20 in his 94 accord...i give props to people who like to venture out of the box and do something "diferent" even if it doesnt seem to be the best swap...take the signal 350Z for instance, they took out the acclaimed VQ35 V6 and put in a SR20DET...less displacement, even less pistons, but there making it work....and the JGTC GT500 supras(yea i kno, totally diferent class and nowhere near our budgets, but its an example)instead of the potent 2JZ-GTE(i think that was the name of the supra engine) they have the MR2 turbo engine...

as for the original question, i dunt think u will have a problem with clearance becuz hasport has a supercharged K20(or was it a K24??) in a CRX which i assume has a way smaller engine bay then ours...

if you are gonna do it, i reckon you should go for a K24 with K20A head for that extra displacement.

Dont see any clearance issues, its just a matter of money really

Hasport is making mounts for a K24 into the 5th gen, so would def. do the k24/k20 hybrid if you want to go K series

if money is no object go for it. but expect to spend thousands on making it work. h22's are becoming outdated but they are still good motors for the generations that people are putting them in. the extra money it takes to get the k series in, you could already have a high powered h22 if you put your money in the right upgrades.

also for an all motor engine, itb's should be the last upgrade for a na car. you must have your engine fully built to see gains from itb's.

lets not forget that the actual k20a-r is what is in the Euro-R....that car is heavier than 5th gen accords.........

h22a's make <160 ft/lbs
k20a's make <150 ft/lbs....but dont forget thats what the f22b1 makes, and it still pulls well from a stand still

the difference is the k20 makes as much power as an H22 type-s, and actually makes lots of power with bolt ons.

i dont think it would be that hard...as long as you can weld and have a idea what you are doing...it is going to cost a lot...

if you are looking for the most hp to cost...turboing the f22 is a far better bet than the h22...

high hp and a lot of money stay with the h22

if you got 10,000$ to do it, then i'm happy for you, waste your money on something that will make you happy for a little while, but just realize that cars aren't everything, there are better investments, that my opinion, but if you got the money, good luck.

I have a 90 with h22a and it runs awsome. I have pulled a 13.8 with it. If you do a K20 it will be cool, but in a bigger car you want torque, something the H22 has much more of.
