Default Rebuild ?'s !Builders HELP!

I just got my hand on a D16z6 Longblock and I want to rebuild the Bottomend, currently has 109k miles. I want to do the build by myself (and H-T member SleepEMike) and this will be my first time actually tinkering with ANY motor.

For those of you that are Professional Motor builders and the ones who gets Japanese Honda motors from oversees that are tired and in need of a rebuild, what parts do you replace and/or check for wear?

FYI Im want to run 11.0 comp pistons

Any help or tips appreciated

Start with this: Helms manual

That will answer ALL your questions, trust me.

Majority of builders use the Helms manual to build thier engines. Some of the best specs are Honda specs. Rod bearings, main bearings, torque specs, blah blah blah Honda specs is the way to go.

BTW here's a performance oriented book for ya: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obi...07846

Serdar, if you cannot find one online, check out http://www.helminc.com for that is where I bought mine. Before, I had the online versions, shhh, but I couldn't stand not having the book to thumb through right in front of me.
