Default cousin just bought 97 ex coupe, problems though...

well, she just bought a 97 ex couple, coilovers, 2 sets of rims, custom white w/pearl blue clearcoat paintjob, nice car i must say.

but since she got it just over a week ago, it has had some electrical problems. first off, the driver side high beam doesnt work (stock housings), and it's not the bulb, she replaced that. the interior dome light also didnt work when she got it. she put in a new bulb, and after a few hours of it working, it burnt out too.

now today i was driving behind her, and notice, she has no brake lights what so ever...

so i peeked under the dash to check out the fuse box, i figure its got to be a fuse...

i get under there and guess what.... NO FUSE PANEL COVER!! so i have no idea which fuse is which.

does anyone have a printible diagram of the fuse panel cover, or something that would at least tell me which fuse is which??

thanks,
toymdngn

You could just go to a honda junkyard and get one, pretty cheap compared to getting one from the stealership. A Helms manual would be another good investment you should look at.

heh, stealership. if its not the fuse, check the stoplight switch. (the switch on the pedal).

got it figured out. the idiot that pulled off her rear spoiler decided that to keep the 3rd brake light wires out of the way, he would just twist the black and red wires together... put in a new fuse, all good.

now the dome light, that was wierd, the fuse was blown, so i went to put another one in, and it blew... put in a 15a fuse, and the light worked, put back the 7.5a fuse and it didnt blow, wierd...

now the only thing i cant figure out is why the d.s. high beam isnt working. i find no blown fuses in the dash fuse panel, nor under the hood, and even with a new bulb, the high beam on the driver side still will not come on.
