Default What would you suggest to tune your car?

I got a 98 ITR and it's got Intake, Header, AEM Fuel Rails, 255 Fuel Pump, and CTR Pistons. The car had Apexi VAFC Gen. I but now it's gone. I'm trying to replace one, should I go with the VAFC Gen. II, Hondata, AEM EMS?

I don't want to spend too much money on tuning the car. Thank you.

Common ones are Hondata, Crome, Neptune. read about each one's pro's and con's and make a decision. I personally am going with the Hondata S200

Is this Mark Shih? If it is or isnt, go with Neptune and have T1 Race Development tune it.

Fortunately I have never been a victim of bad tuning but you definately dont want to go cheap in this area. Cheap tuning gets you blown motors. Cheap tuning is not the answer. The amount of money you spend on tuning maybe a bit hard to swallow but if you look at the value of what you will get in return and add the fact that your car is operating like it should, Neptune and Tony1 is an awesome value.

If you dont want to spend as much go to Velocity Performance. They do decent for what they charge.

I use Hondata s200. I felt that it was the best bang for the buck. Good gains were to be had with a tune.

What tuners are available in your area? An FMU is only as good as it's tune.

Don't skimp.

Why people buy CTR cams with a setup like yours is beyond me. I'm positive that was highlighted in your thread recently, but.. oh well, what do we all know.

I can get you setup with NepTune and tuned for a very reasonable price considering you're getting your engine management too. Hell, doesn't an AFC go for around $300? NepTune is only $250 and does everything you could imagine.

Give me a call at the shop if you're interested in getting tuned and we can talk more about it.

Tony
