It does not have an extra cam lobe but rather continuously variates the cam angles. The iV-Tech found in the K20A2 (type S) has the extra cam lobe that's like the VVTL-i's lift.

I'm just pointing out that there's a few types of V-Tech that all have the same name.</TD></TR></TABLE> will you guys tell him whats up please. i just got a scion TC and belong to scionlife(had a hype-R) (another post why i traded it for this) but these guys talk like they know anything about VTEC but as you can see they dont. notice the "H" in VTEC?

Dunno about all that but I do like the Tc's. Wouldn't mind one of those for DD duties.

Blech. Too many riceboy TC's running around. Don't like being grouped into that crowd. That's one of the things that I DON'T miss about the R.

Yeah, they'll be near Civic status in no time. At least that might keep the resale value up.

You obviously don't know whats up with k series motors and your bashin on someone that does?

Don't have to do anything to the tC, just keep it stockly as a DD. It has 2 sunroofs to make up for our lack of even one

That spelling reminds of of those V-TECH cordless phones that they sell at Best Buy.

What do TCs have to do with Type Rs? The TC is just an economy car with some nice features. Its designed for people who think its hip to be a "tuner" but have no actual interest in a car that is quick, handles and brakes well.
