haha yea its normal mann.. you are supposed to let your engine warm up first.. i wouldnt even be punching it while the motoris cold; to me it would be like playing a sport without stretching..

There is a little filter screen behind the VTEC solenoid that could have some metal chips built up on it. This could slightly restrict cold oil from getting to where it needs to be. Remove the VTEC solenoid and clean out the little screen (you will see it).. See if that helps any. Otherwise I'm kinda boggled because I'm not 100% sure of the specific problem..

yes it does engage but thiers a slight lag car only has 46,000 miles on it and i dont want to **** it up so this is why i asked this question and asked if it was normal..
