Default Anyone familiar w/ this R?

Just saw this on eBay and was kinda curious about it. Turned out okay w/ a carfax - but I'm never too sure about those things but if anyone knew the history on it?

And I though I had a lot of miles on mine! It's located about 1.5 hours north of me.

I'd say the Buy Now price is pretty good, even with that high of miles

Looks like a good deal if everything checks out okay. The guy says he has receipts from King Motorsports from the work done on it.

That would be sweet to have one of the highest mileage R's.

Yea that price isn't bad at all, the only thing I have a problem with is the fact that it isn't the original motor. I personally don't think an ITR is worth the same without the factory numbers matching motor. Its like old 60's-70's collectors cars.

Sounds kind of expensive and fishy. New tranny and ecu due to leaking oil?? I wasn't aware that Comptech made a 2.5 exhaust. Does new trannies from Acura come with a VIN badge on them?

i just rolled 136000 and it is still running strong. Even compression across the board

mine has been stock its whole life until its gotten to me and im assuming it has never been beat on considering all owners were older gentlemen. I'd say go for it, and if eventually you need an engine build, big deal. GL with it

Er? So King Motorsports knows how to swap vin numbers from 1 tranny to another or does the VIN not match to the chassis? Still doesn't make sence why he would, if he really did change the ecu to another stock one.

What do we have to do with this?

Well, he says that King changed the tranny. So assuming he bought a new one, if you look at the pics, theres a vin plate on it. If he got a used one, then I'm guessing the numbers on the tranny don't match the chassis.

It looks pretty good to me. If it has a clean title and is mechanically sound, it could be a good car to have as a toy. Just don't try to finance it

Just to be clear - we don't swap VIN tags here. Either that is an old picture, before his trans swap, or perhaps he did it himself.

I would need to know who he is to be sure that we did the motor/trans work as described.

Could he of swapped/re-build the tranny using the same case?? Maybe by tranny he means a new clutch??

Whoops, by no means was that statement made to question your/King's legitimacy. I was just trying to point out what he said was fishy.

I'd guess the pictures were taken before the swap was done.

IMO it is a fair price, even with the high miles. New OE bushings weather seals should be first on the maint. list for whomever buys it.
