kentucky fried chicken strips
I know that chicken strips don't determine how good you are and thats not the point of this post.
I have an f2 with a 160 rear. I has a small area maybe .5" on each side of the rear tire, my front how ever doesn't have any.
as far as my ability to lean… I am sure I could go further than I am currently leaning. ( I don't scrape pegs or anything, but I do hit my toes every once in a while, mostly due to the Icon superduty boots I wear)
Some guys I have talked to say its harder to wear the front than the back. I was wondering if I should being doing something differently, or maybe rely on my body weight and less on the front for steering? I was just thinking about it and didn't realy have any thoughts about it, and was wondering what you guys thought.
maybe I'll get some pics up but I don't know if they'ld help.

yup ride on the ***** of your feet
keep most of your weight to the rear wheel, don't death grip your handle bars.
work on your body position while taking your turns
honestly my chicken strips went away when i stopped caring about them.
just practice on taking the turns faster and they will eventually go away.

Depends on the profiles, if you fit over wide tyres it is nearly impossible to wear the edges. I would worry far less about what others think about your tyres and get on with your riding.
i guess my concern was that my technique wasn't quite right being that the font had no strips and the rear did.
most bike I see are the opposite.
and yeah I need to work on tuck my toes and riding on the ***** of my feet.

I think the profile of the tire has more to do with it than anything. My friends with the same bike as me run 120/65's up front (stock) and I run 120/70's and they have significantly less 'chicken strips' yet I'm always in the lead when we hit the canyons.

dont you want most of your weight up front? that was a question on a test and you are suppose to keep more weight up front
also look at the racers, they are all up on the gas tank...

i'd say you want 60-65/40-35 rear/front.. try and keep your mass as close to the center of gravity as possible. hang off the bike so you don't have to use as much lean angle so you have more tire contact for traction/acceleration/braking. be as smooth as possible and use your outside leg to hug the tank and pull into the turn when you turn. you also want to be weighting the inside peg with the top of your foot (if you're at extreme lean angles you need all the clearance you can get). think of using countersteering with the handlebars as the fine tune adjustment to your turn and that your body should do most of the work, but dont be confused - the handlebars are always in "control". look ahead of the turn where you want to go and stay focused there. you should be slowly rolling on the throttle throughout the turn, it's okay if it's a little bit just as long as you are keeping the majority of the weight off the front wheel.

maybe on the straights they'll be nuts to the tank...you want more weight to the rear where you would have a larger contact patch compared to the front.
