How can you tell if you have bent valves?
I have always wondered how you can tell if your valves are bent or not short of actually taking the head off and looking at them.
Can someone also explain how bending valves occurs? Does it happen when the piston hits the valves while they are open (due to timing problems if you mechanically over-rev)?
Could you hear a difference in the engine from it, or would it have to be really serious to hear it?
Thanks!

So....theres apparently a clicking noise of somekind or another eh...

do a compression test. It'll sound like the car is missing while at idle. Sorry I can't be of more help. I'm not that technically inclined
