Questions on building a b18a for turbo
After installing a turbo on my current b18a I decided to take the turbo off and build another b18a and turbo that. Well I just pulled another b18a out of a 93 LS with 190,000 miles. Basically what I planned on doing was rebuilding this motor with mainly oem parts . The head would get new valve guides/seals, mild pnp, hot tanked, milled ect. And for the block the main thing im concerned about is replacing the pistons and rings, well I had in mind of using the stock LS pistons once again, since they are low compression pistons, or would it be a good idea to use aftermarket pistons? Ive always believed in oem parts as Ive seen many aftermarket products fail. Oh and I plan on boosting about 7psi. Please give me some ideas, thanks
I am using a 14b dsm turbo for my setup, but many would say that this turbo is too small. I would probably recommend a t3/t4.
