Here is the deal my car is hesitating horribly, My initial thought was maybe cap and rotor which were changed. I have the original wires on the motor but I dont see that causing the problem. While I am driving the car the car will hesitate, when I get on it it will go away, sometimes your here a crackling...basically same sound as when u pull a wire off your engine when its runnin. Car will not even rev past 5k.What I dont understand is what car do I buy the distributer for? I cant even seem to find spark plugs wires, Ive tried just about every honda platform and the boots are all to short. The cap and rotor were off a differant car. I guess american cars came with an external coil? Anyways I would love some part numbers for this distributer and wires....

You'll either have to find a JDM unit (which has no American Honda part number and cannot be obtained at US dealers) or buy an aftermarket one from a place like Distributor King.

Or convert to USDM OBD1 H22/H23 distributor with external coil.

I did a jdm h22 swap, i used a USDM distributor cuz it utilized a external coil which is hell of a lot better! but if you want i have a jdm distributor ill sell and for wires just use and h22 ones.

 

I've been told Distributor King has them. The site is down right now though.

I think u can use a 90-91 accord distributor bc it has an internal coil ( I think somebody tell me if i'm wrong) I know u can use a civic distributor cap and rotor button bc I used it on my jdm h22a
