Default Anyone braze aluminum? HTS-2000 ??

Found this on the web, it's called HTS-2000, does it work as well as it says? Or is it the same as all the other aluminum braze out there?

Im trying to repair a stripped and cracked hole in the engine block where the mount attaches...

Check out the video on the top right corner...

I took the bait and bought it a while ago. Complete crap. MAPP gas doesn't even get it hot enough and you still need flux. I don't understand how they can even sell the stuff without being sued. The only things I was able to braze were things that were really thin such that the base metal was able to melt. I brazed 24 ga sheet like butter, anything else never worked.

found someone who can weld my block... is this a good idea? the guy is a pro welder/racer and is well-respected locally. How much should this cost just to fill in the stripped/cracked hole?

Shouldn't cost more than a couple bucks.

I really doubt it's gonna cost a couple bucks. I think he'll either do it for free, or charge me like $80.
