State your highway MPG and engine setup
I have a 91 CRX Si with a '99 D16Y8 with a k&n air filter, 4-1 header, test pipe and I get 38 mpg going 80 mph at 4000rpms. I just want to know what other people get. I think it's a reasonable topic since gas prices are going crazy.

Do some of you care to state how you are calculating mpg, cuz some of the numbers don't fly. Guess what, you don't divide your trip meter with your max fuel tank volume.
90 Civic Si, OBD0 SOHC ZC, crappy tires, bad alignment, wrong distributer = retarded ignition timing, 32 mpg city. 3600RPM = 70mph. I'm pretty impressed seeing as how I just got the car and haven't had the time/money to do the full maintenance.
I want to do a 96+ HX mini me.
Also should note that dropping the car increases the mpg on the highway.

It depends on the driving style.
If you live in an area that requires frequent Stop and go then that'll shoot you're figures down. I live in Orange County CA, everybody and their mom likes to speed, so to keep up I gotta give it a lil more throttle.
$2.69/gal for Arco 87.
It takes a gallon to get to work and back everyday.
My Trek 4300 is getting a lot more attention these days.
My hour commute takes up approx 600 calories ONE WAY.
Great source of cardio and stress release not to mention great for the environment.

91 CRX Boosted B20B running turboedit, 30mpg mostly around town with a lil freeway. I still have a lot to clean up on my map tho... That tank I beat on it pretty hard too...
I agree with suspendaedhatch...some of these numbers are like better then the new Hybrid models.
The best MPG that I got was straight highway going to NYC 2 years ago with my B16a Turbo and I got average of 36mpg at 80-85mph. Back then I was using the Vortech FMU and the Missing link for fuel.
Now with OBD1 I get about 22mpg on the city (lots of traffic), and about 30-33mpg on straight highway at 80ish. I am running 440cc injectors with Crome tune.
How I calculate it is with the miles that I drove on the CRX devided by the amount of money I used to fill it up.

I get 28-30mpg in town, driving it "enthusiastically", 32-34mpg on the highway. 80mph = 4400rpm.
Oh, and it gets 18mpg on VIR North.

If they divided by max fuel tank volume it would actually make the mileage worse. Think about it.
I don't know why you think that getting 40+ is ridiculous. not all of us drive like the Fast and the Furious. When I got 45 mpg going down to SoCal I drove between 65 and 75 the entire trip. I also coast whenever I can. Having a small engine helps too.
I personally think that all of our cars in stock condition are capable of 40mpg on the highway. It's just a matter of how you drive.
Oh, and the EPA ratings are 19 years out of date. You're luck if you get 75% of what the EPA rates a car to get now adays. Read this article.
In other words, dollar for dollar you're much better off with a EF than a new hybrid.

Not really sure, I was talking to other people with Hype Rs and they get like 9 or 10. The motor has around 5000 miles on it. The A/F ratio was fine the whole time, not lean at all, perhaps a little too rich in places. Maybe I'm just not fast enough...
I found that I forgot to take the speed limiter out of my PR3, smacked into it going by start/finish at 120ish.
