Default External msd coil better?

Yea I have a gsr and for about a week I couldn't figure out why my car boggs out at high rpm. I changed my distributor coil and It was find. It ran perfect. The thing is when my car is hot my car begins to bogg again. I was wondering if the external msd coil would be better and will allow my car to get full power at all times.

Could this be the reason my car boggs at high rpm when its hot?
Is the coil in my distributor not strong enough?
Would the msd external solve this problem?

Since it is heat related it may be the ignitor. I know alot of ignitors fail when temps get high. Try an external coil.

yea thats what i thought it was because i replaced my coil and it runs strong *** hell until my car gets hot then vtec kind of sputters and my car boggs. I was told that and external msd coil would stand against the heat better than my oem coil.

Check your distributor cap as well. My car had the same symptoms as your car...and acted up once the motor warmed up.

I purchased a refurbished distributor, but the car still acted up. My problem turned out to be my cap, a screw was missing and the cap wasn't seating properly.

I went with an external coil since I don't trust the refurbished unit's igniter and coil (probably cheap taiwanese made ones). If I had a strong OEM dizzy I wouldn't bother with an MSD.
