What do you guys on here recomend for a chip on a p28 ecu? My current chip is a teg mugen type r program but feels about the same as regular gsr program maybe a lil slower. So im asking what is the best program for h22 civic with I/E or I/H/E. My best on street tires so far is 14.2 @ 98 and on slicks 14.1 @ 97. when I had stock p28 unchipped in the car it ran 14.4 @ 97 so I feel the new ecu program mite be hurting me. What do you guys think?
Please help. Thanks.

I need some info here please. I dont have the money to just go exploring chips. Does any body have any success stories with stock p78 and then a chipped program. Thanks.
the 'best chip' is the one that is made at the dyno, by someone who knows what they are doing.
i've seen some dyno of H22A's being ran on stock P72's... your engine is not running right.

the p28 is only "better" because it is easier to work/tune with.. it is well developed among of ecu nerds/hackers.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a stock p13 on a (near) stock h22a if everything is hooked up (egr, knock etc..) and i bet a p72 can make an h22a rock just as good (if not better!) in the right hands. the advantage to the p28 is that it has less BS on it.. (knock, egr).
it's what's inside the ECU that counts..

Thanks for the replies but im going to play it safe and get an A/F guage (inaccurate) to get a ballpark figure of how shes runnign then go from there.
My car does have a problem back firing when i shift somtimes so i think im running a lil rich but i have nothing to tune with other than a FPR w/gauge currently at 45 psi w/vacuum line off.

So you think my cars not running right? What do you think some possibilities are? I have a good knolage about cars and I did the swap myself. But somthing tells me the engine is alittle off mite have to do a comp test this weekend.

your car is not running right because the ecu is not the right one.. simple as that bud. "Mugen Type R" sounds neat - but it's not the right ecu.
It's just as bad as trying to bolt a "Mugen Type R" valve cover onto an H22a - doesnt fit. Get a chip in there that is ment for an H22A and then go from there.

I knowwhat your saying but when i had a 94 accord with h22 i ran a best of 14.7 @ 94 w/ p13 ecu then 14.4 @ 96 with stock p28 but when i did a jun integra type r program i went 14.2s at 99. thats why i chose that mugen program. Im afraid to try a p13 ecu or any of its chips cause i had slow times with it before.
