Default HELP b18c1 in EG over heats!!!

hey guys i just got done doing my obd1 b18c1 swap into my EG. After driving it for 10-15 mins in normal operating temp. the temp gauge will heat up and go all the way up. Once i shut down the car, then wait for it to cool down then i can drive it for another 5-10 mins before it heats up again. Both my upper and lower radiator is hot, and my motor is hot. Does anyone have an idea? Please help me!!!

thanx

you bleed your radiator fluid correctly? (you have to let it idle for a LONG time)

your thermostat might be bad.

what radiator are you using? the stock eg radiator is a bit thin IMO for the b18c1.

How do you bleed the radiator fluid? (sorry never done it before).

Also im buying a new thermostat and replacing that today.

Yes i am still using a stock eg radiator for a b18c1. I've seen TONS of people using a stock eg radiator for b18c1/5.

Anyone elses opinion would be great also

thanx

there should be a bleed screw near the therostat... unscrew it and idle the car until no more air come out of the bleed screw.

another way is the leave the radiator cap off and run the car... eventually the level will drop as the air works its way out. (just keep topping off the fluid)

you have to idle it for a LONG time. remember, the engine temp has to get high enough for the thermostat to open... (~195*F)

just make sure that u run your engine at idle with cap off, when temp goes up the level will drop and your stat is then open, then top off radiator with coolant.

We'll guys i let the car idle with the radiator cap off. The problem is that coolant flowed out of the radiator instead of the coolant level dropping down. Is this normal? Also when you guys talk about bleeding it with the little screw, is that located by the upper radiator hose is connected to, or the lower radiator hose is connected to by the thermostat?

Thanks
