Default First time at the drag strip with the R...

Well i decied to take the R to the track last night to see what she'll do... it was a very hot and humid night so everyone was runing alittle bit slower than normal...

Kenji chipped Ecu ( 9200rpms)
Apexi V-AFC
ATS final drive ( 4.9 FD)
Mugen exhaust
Skunk 2 cam gears
TODA valve springs
Mugen head gasket (11.1 comp )
Injen cold air intake
Strup JDM 4-1 header

the car dynoed 192whp on a dyno jet... (tuned by jack@p1)

my first run,

R/T..... .578
60....... 2.632 ( )
330..... 6.517
1/8...... 9.658
MPH..... 77.84
1000.... 12.430
1/4...... 14.830
MPH..... 97.67

second run (last run of the night)

R/T..... .563
60....... 2.477 ( )
330..... 6.235
1/8...... 9.442
MPH..... 79.69

With a trap of almost 101, 13's are definitely within reach.

most definitely at 13 car.....

nail down the launch to a 2.2xx and you're there...

try deflating your front tires for some better grip.... I used to run 17-20psi on the stock RE010s for my particular dragstrip.....

Looks good. I can only hope my first time is just as good. I suck at launching.

Those are decent times, just work on your launches. Good luck and hopefully soon you will be in the 13's.

try slipping the clutch out instead of dropping it, I use to pull a 2.1 60 with minor suspenion and kuhmo's but it looks like 13.7 out of you

Did just the head gasket raise your compression .5?

As stated above DO try slipping the clutch at launch and drop your tire pressure..... VERY EASY 13's caR..... What RPM are you launching at? I got my best times STOCK .... 14.7@102 .... by going with a VTEC engagement point launch... (around 5600) Slipping the clutch..... But now "mildly modded" I get down low and roll out on the clutch.... But remember, YOUR FIRST TIME...... You'll get learn it in no time flat...... NOW GO PRACTICE IN A PARKING LOT !!!!!!!

Definately have to spin the tires a bit off the launch because you need to be above 5800 when you get 100% traction and go WOT.

..and 14.7 @ 101 stock? WTF? Freak pass with a 2.7 60 perhaps?

yes the 192whp is on stock cams... the v-afc helped out alot, but it was jack@P1 that tuned the car for me and was able to get alot more power out of the v-afc for me...
