It seems like Vtec doesn't kick in until about 6000 rpm. I took off my air box cover today so I could listen to my intake. I went on the highway and dropped it down to 4000rpm and when I hit 6000, it was LOUD and I could feel it! Secondary air intake isn't THAT powerful, is it? Whats going on? I thought I got my power at 4400rpm? Thanks guys and sorry for the semi-stupid question! Just a little worried bout my baby.

 

secondary runners are much louder than vtec. its not the secondary "air intake". taking off your airbox isnt necessarily gonna let you hear the vtec any better.
