I like it. Personally I'm a bit tired of this JDM phase crap with every guy making their car look like the next guys car. Whats under the hood?

d16y8, i/h/e, fpr, vafc. adjustable came gear, waitin on a camshaft along with springs and retainers, gonna upgrade the pistons and rods, then savin up for a turbo

EDIT: Oh, and as far as the JDM phase, i couldnt concur more. Thats why i love my exterior, nobody looks anything like it. My only regret is that i did my exterior a long time ago, before i knew anything past i/h/e about my engine. Had i known then what i know now, i would've waited on some of the exterior stuff so i could buy engine parts.

Sounds like a good set up you got going, at least you're the guys that focus on the engine and exterior, not just the exterior. You're show 'n' go! Man I need to do something about my engine, completely stock....here's how it looks, at least its clean.

wow, that is VERY clean, I like how you not only painted the engine, but the heat shield as well, makes a huge difference. I actually wanna paint my engine just like that, what paint did you use? and has it chipped or anything at all?

I used high temperature black paint from Dupli-Color, and so far it hasn't chipped at all. Makes a world of difference as you can see in the pics.

Not bagging, but with all that work you have in your motor + turbo, you with be in for more than 3k right. I'm not sure what motor you are referring to for 30hp, but a b16 is 160 or 170 depending on JDM/USDM. That is a 60+hp increase for about $1800 for a cable b16. I spent $3000 for a 2000 Si motor, plus extras shipped from NC. My friend here spent $4000 for a 1997 JDM B18C shipped plus extras. I think if you do a little homework, you will actually save in the long run, not to mention resale of your car will increase. Good luck with your build though and keep it clean.

So an ugly body kit, a tall wing, and a muffler is original again?

haha, I've been waitin for a while for someone to trash my sig. Don't get me wrong, i've done PLENTY of hw on a swap. For the first 2 years of owning my car my plan was to swap. Finding h-t is actually what made me change my mind. I mean, go in the civic forum, and every thread is something along the lines of "I swapped and now (blank) wont work, or, my car wont even run". I'm in college and dont have enough money to bail myself out of a mishap like that, so i've gotta play it safe. And plus, correct me if im wrong, but a d16y8 IS only 30hp behind. b16's put out 160 at the crank, and the y8 puts out 127 crank. i know the y8 puts like 104 at the wheels, so im assuming the b16 puts like 135 at the wheels, but ive never seen a dyno for that.

with a mods list like that i think its safe to say you dont work on your engine anywhere near as much as most people on H-T

Well I'm sorry I'm not made of money, I'm getting things as quickly as i can afford them. Why do you gotta hate on my car? I work my *** off on it, it's unique, its clean, and as soon as i get more money, it'll outperform almost any single cam civic out there. So shut the hell up and respect that, or **** off. thank you

Everything on the exterior seems functionless...

JDM or not it's about function....

Yes a Y8 is 127. My only point was you can get a JDM b16 for the same price as all the stuff you plan on doing to your car. Weather you swap or tune, you are modifing the stock motor. Your car is not going to be perfect just because you are not swaping. A turbo can be complicated. If your saving anyway, do it right no matter what you plan is. I commend you for standing up for the mighty Y8. Look at HellaJDMs SOHC turbo....SICK. Have fun. Just as a quick note, I go to school to, own a house and have 2 kids + a sick EK in my opinion, just gotta manage that cheese kid!
