dont flame; i just tried searching for an answer, but the search is down. okay, heres the deal: i went out to start my car this morning; it just cranks over with no signs of life. i made sure the battery terminals were connected and tight, and made sure the ign. wires were not touching and were tight on the plugs. try it again and nothing. not even a brief fire. i take off the nut on the fuel line that goes from the filter to the fuel rail, and a tiny bit of fuel came seeping out. i turn the key on and off, and the fuel pump came on every time, but no fuel came out of the filter. can the fuel pump be faulty even though i can hear it running when i turn the key? or can the filter be extremely clogged to the point where nothing gets through? i doubt its the pump; this same thing has happened before, all 3 times its been on a sunny, saturday morning. the first time was like 6 months ago, so i doubt its the pump. any help will be greatly appreciated.

92 gs 5 speed, a hair under 130k, aem intake, aftermarket wires. i just replaced the plugs, distributor cap and rotor about 2 months ago. car gets very good gas mileage, last tank i got 31 mpg all city driving.
word up bro, deltron is an amazing lyricist
i'm almost at a loss trying to figure out what could be your problem.
Part of me is thinking main fuel relay.....which are quite common in DA's
The Ffilter could possibly become extremely clogged, but it's doubtful. Take it off and blow through it. Blow it out into a paper towel and see what comes out. If it blows through eaisly and nothing comes out but gas, then i wouldn't think it would be the filter.
i'll keep thinking about it though

update: now, after sitting for over 4 hours, the car starts up like nothing ever happened.
me and my dad are gonna mess with it tomorrow; he thinks it might be the pump. he just had to replace one on his s10, and he said it didnt just go to **** immediately; that it periodically wouldnt start, like my car. but, ive also heard of numerous DAs that do this: they dont start sometimes when its hot and sunny out, but all of a sudden later in the afternoon or night it starts just fine. and nobody knows what the problem is in those cases; although i have heard the main relay mentioned.

Do you know anyone around you that has a MFR you can try the next time it doesn't start? The next time it doesn't start, squirt some starter fluid in the throttle body, if it fires up for a sec, its probably your MFR.
I have the same model year as you, and I started getting stranded around town, and I also seemed to be getting fuel to the filter. So I figured it was ignition related and replaced my coil, ignitor, cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Come to find out, it was that damn MFR. Good luck.
