Default SPEEDBUMP > dropped accord

i saw 40 year old virgin last night at 12:25am at the theatre and i went over this one speedbump and hit the bottom of my car pretty hard
now i just went to work its about 3:30pm and i see my oil light is flashing.. i think all my oil is gone becuase i looked under and its leaking really fast.

i get off work at 9pm so im gonna go walk to a somwhere i can by oil before i drive 20 miles home.

if the pan needs to be replaced (or whatever its leakign from ) whats the most this could set me back?

if all the oil was gone in 12 hours does that mean the leak is pretty bad?

tow it and replace the pan. $100 for a tow is better than 2K for a new engine

i hope that at least u liked the movie that way the evening was not a total waste........
Now how fast were u going to bottom out on a speed bump ??? well thats another issue ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I agree with the people here especially if oil lite came on ,,,,,,a used oil pan u can get for around 50-75 dollars?? new gasket 25 dollars?? tow bill ????? depends how far u are from ur destination $$ ??? labor if u can do it 0$$ if a shop does it 100 to 120 dollars ...........
Oh and for next time ,,, my advice as far as it goes ,,slow down to a crawl when u try to go over a speed bump

No, that pan is toast, nada, personna nongratta.

Jb could have been a temp repair, but it won't adhere unless the surface is bone dry. Two part epoxy would have been another another, but unless you "Just happen" to be carrying this stuff (along with either brake or carburetor cleaner (to clean and dry the pan) a Flatbed is your only possible option.

A membership with AAA (Automobile Association of America) is really cheap insurance if you're stuck somewhere. They're no more than a phone call away.
