Default Launching and shift points

I've got a 98' civic EX 5 speed. It's stock besides a Skunk2 cat-back exhaust. I haven't taken it to the track yet but I was wondering at what rpm to launch it and if I should slip the clutch, I dont really want to dump it. Also should I shift at redline. thanks guys, this is my first car so don't burn me too hard.

When I had my GSR turbocharged @ 9psi, I would just dump the clutch. Now I have it tuned to 17psi and a Clutchmasters stage 4 clutch so I have to slip the clutch so I don't break my stock axles. Launching in your car would have to be where you feel the tires spin enough. When I started out I launched it at 5K and actually had to go higher cause my drag radials would grip too much. With my car now I launch it at around 6000 or so and slip the clutch and I usually can get pretty close to a 1.9 60 foot which is what I'm aiming for. As a suggestion, I would launch your car at 4500 and go up from there as needed and just dump the clutch since you have all stock components.

Thanks for the suggestions. However, you dont think dumping the clutch will damage my transmission?

I bet your clutch wasn't smellin to good. Thanks for the post. I probably won't do that because I can't afford to fix stuff, but thanks again for your suggestions.
