Default I need some help.

Alright guys, I just replaced my old very damaged spark plug wires with a new set.
With my old set the RPM would flux (rise and fall in idle range). Well, before this new set I had a miss, that was pretty obvious, with the new set, it will miss VERY rarely, yet still happens, which doesn't make me happy at all. Along with this, my oil light will display a couple secs longer than my others lights on a cold start (usually 3-5 seconds longer) and Its beginning to bother me, I want to catch the problems now remedy them and get it back to top condition.

Thanks for any input.

I know on my EG I had the same problem with the idle surging and it was the IACV....idle air control valve

Is this happening when you first start it up and it's cold, or after it warms up?

If it's happening after it warms up it would be the FITV....fast idle thermo valve.

And with as many miles as you have it very well could be a clogged IACV, which can be cleaned.
