scan for codes and depending upon what the code says, make the approperiate repairs.

That silly little light thats' glaring at you is not ment to be "sent away" as you ask. It's trying to tell you that a component in your airbag system has failed and requires service.
Unless you like the prospects of ether eating the windshield at your next "immovable object" encounter, or having the equivilent of a rocket motor go off 8" from your chest, I'd get it checked at the closest Honda dealer, like soon.

I'm not being a hard a.. here, this is serious stuff; And I would think none of us really want to read about you somewhere, we'd rather sit here answering your questions; making ourselfs sound good

i totally agree with my ole p_ buddy have it diagnosed and repaired by a pro ,,,safety issues such as SRS system is not something to ignore.....Now the lite could also have come on if you replaced or disconnected battery and u might not have a code but even so it needs to be cleared or SRS system will not work

if you messed with the airbag at all without disconnecting the battery, the light will come on.. or if your srs system really does have a problem.. either way, you have to take it to a dealer to have the light reset..

if you're like me and no longer have an airbag, then pull the bulb..

There is no way to reset it yourself? I got mine on after i pulled the fuse with the battery connected. Way to go me.

I agree with deserthonda, the proceedure for clearing any SRS codes and reseting the indicator is also spelled out in Chilton's repair catalog(s). Mine, Chilton's #30152 spells out the proceedure on page(s) 6-7 thru 6-9. You're looking for a specific connector with difference color combination wires (for different engines), and it calls for a specific service tool (scs Service Connector Tool 07PAZ-0010100) and a very specific proceedure.
I continue to highly recommend taking it to the dealer. You're at the ten (10) year Honda suggested inspection point for the SRS system anyway, so you can accomplish both at the same time.
