NSR250 road legal.
I cain't really seem to find any info on this anywhere, but does anyone know if there are road legal NSR250s, or if you can make the legal in the US. I have found one for a good price and want to fix it up. I have always wanted one, but dont want to spend the cash if i caint ride it on the road.
I don't think so, because of emissions. You might be able to pull a gray-market import type dealie. from what I understand, most of the road-legal 250+ two strokes in the states were grandfathered in by people moving from overseas to the US.
You might want to look into something like an NC30/NC35/NC45, YZF-R4, ZXR400 etc. 400cc four strokes, if you're looking for something small, quick and road legal.
either that or get the NSR and race it.

Very rare. None of them were ever offered for sale in the US. NC30's and NC45's were kind of like mini-RC30's and RC45's. You see them from time to time on Ebay, usually ex-race bikes. FZR400's are also on ebay every once in a while. There are a few companies that will import 400's, new or used, but total cost usually ends up being +/- double what the bike is worth. But if it's exactly what you want it's worth it.

I've seen RGV250's on Ebay with US titles. I don't know how you get by the emissions part but if you really want one just keep looking and you'll find one. But then you may have issues getting parts for such a motorcycle. I hope you find what you are looking for.

That must be a nice bike big pete, sounds awsome. But is alittle more than i have to spend.
Thanks for all the ideas. Im still looking around. They would just seem like such a fun bike to throw around, and a Ninja250 is not even an option, lol.
