Some one please help me. The shift linkage pin is not wanting to come out. Ive tryed banging it out but it is not wanting to move.

 

I beat the **** outta it and it came out.

 

u have to hit it with the right sized punch..somewhere around 8 mm i think shouldbe perfect..
or get the chisels with the round heads..

 

they dont call it the bitch pin for nuttin

yes the infamous bitch pin...
when i did my swap however..that was prolly the easiest part...
the right sized punch or chisel and it will come right out...

 

I use a 10mm bolt and hit with a 3 lb mallet. Never had a problem.

It's only a pain in the *** when someone has removed the pin and hammered it back in several times. Working on your back under the car without room to swing a hammer doesn't help either....

i used a nail, a hammer and a lot of swearing

 

bwahahahahahaahahaha....
i matched up the size of the pin with a punch..wasn;t right picked up the next one..and BAM it was out..

to put it simply..u'll knwo what will get that pin out when u see 'it'..it being the actual thing to get the pin out...

and yes its tough to hammer out the pin with no room there..
but if ur hitting the hammer that hard..u'll never get her out..
jus tap lightly...

nevar! use brute force and make it come out, if it doesnt fit, force it, if it breaks then it needed to be replaced anyway

i;ve seen people hit it dso hard that they mushroomed it and then it s a real bitch to get it out...
use brute force and it'll become a pain in the *** for u...

the bitch pin i took out..was form a car thats been driven thru snow mud everything...east coast car infamous for rust and all that...it was a96..so what 9 years old now...
liek i said i didn;t have a problem...

Havent you guys ever heard of an Air hammer? Makes the bitchpin slide out like butter takes me about 20 seconds or less to get mine out.

yes i have and my air hammer didnt work because i didnt have the right size punch
