there is no Accord Type R, only SIR-T is the max as it goes... and for the Euro R, is European R, so it not the real R because it have to be TypeR.
for S2000 there is Type V which a little improvement.

There was an Accord Type R. H22--212 hp, titanium shift ****, championship white--it was based on the European Accord platform. And just because the motor (s2000) is hard to get more power out of (production wise) doesn't mean there can't be an s2000 R. Look at the older NSX R. Same motor---just a lot lighter, lighter wheels, partition removed from engine and pass. compartment, champ. white, no sound deadening, ti. shift ****, red recaro (one piece) seats. You get the idea....

excessive notation of the titanium shift ****. That has nothing to do with R status.
If the S2000 doesn't live up to the same expectations and quality of the R vehicles, then I don't know what will be. The S2000 is manufactured by hand in the same plant as the NSX. Doesn't that speak for anything?

i read on a thread somewhere about the S2000 becoming a Type R and its a no go.. there were certain criteria the base chassis must meet to satisfy R badging.. the S2000 doesnt meet it simply because its convertable.

The Accord Euro R is in fact a JDM car only. It wasn't offered abroad. And yes, it is considered an R with a slightly different name. In Best Motoring VTEC Club, they tracked an Integra Type-R, Civic Type-R, and Accord Euro R together.

Technically the Prelude wasn't replaced by the S because they overlapped for 2+ years(late'99-01). Honda did away with the BB6 because it was difficult to sell with the high price tag and FF platform. It appealed to a market that couldn't afford it. The prelude had a JDM Type S, but no R.
I'd love to have a Championship White S2K with red Recaro's, weight reduction, tuned suspension and some white 17s. I'd probably even sell my left nut and a kidney for one of those

dang, typeR s2k
I hadn't event thought of that.
Would be so sweet..
but wtf could they do to it??
it's already an n/a fourbanger putting out almost 250..
if they lightened the **** out of the chassis, now that would be sweet,
add another 20hp/tq to the engine as well..
course I'd guess the pricetag would jump like WOAH
