I am in the market for a nice RSX-S, but I can't decide what year to get.
I am looking to get one, between 2002 and 2004.
I've looked at some websites, and they show 2003 models to be a little heavier than 2002 models, also, 2002 models run quicker 0-60 than 2003. Is this true?

What production yr. model is the best from 02-04, and why?

 

I'm 99% positive the 02-04 are exactly the same, except for early 02s having different valve springs.

05 type-s i heard has the most HP than any other type-s years because 2005 type-s comes with the dc5 engine all the others arent and the new one coming out (06) will be only 201 hp

so i guess a 2005 type s would be best

 

If you read his actual post you'll see that he's looking for 02-04. I would say the heated side mirrors are definately a plus as well as you can still find some out there with low miles.

I think Milano Red was only offered in 04. For 02-03 it was Firepepper Red. I could be wrong though.

Jesus. Does no one read? The 05 and 06 are the same damn motor, same hp output. They only changed the SAE correction standard.

The 2005 RSX is the same as the previous years for the most part. They're upgraded with Type R cams, and a different final drive.

because sae calculations are ******* different. wonder why the TL and all these other ******* cars have different hp ratings from last year, but they use the exact same ******* engine? jesus christ. this was also reposted like a million times in GDD.

YES i am ******* sure that the 05 and 06 and producing the same hp cause they are the exact same ******* engine.

the exhaust piping is supposed to be bigger to. i've seen a couple comparisons with pictures from pre 05 to post 05

Incorrect sir, the '05 is 210 and the '06 is rated at 201 only because of new SAE standard measurement for hp ratings. Using these new method my car is also 201, old method 210.

 

didnt they do a major suspension upgrade on the '05 RSX-S????

Major? No. Minor, yes. The 05 and the 06 are the same car minus a new interior color offered I believe.

i don't know too much about the dc5, but is hondata compatible with the 05+?

 

A RSX is a RSX. As long as its a TypE-S with cold air intake to make that vtec yell, its all good.
