ummm....does anyone have an extra one of these???
try putting the shock loosely in a vise upside-down, so the brake line bracket is resting on top of the two clamps of the vise, then put a piece of wood over the bottom of the shock, and hit it with a big ******* hammer.
I remember hearing someone say "put it in hot water"? I think that will cause the ring to expand a bit so you can slide it off without damaging it too bad. Its wrth a shot.
