That's not suposed to come off, you can just put whatever shocks you got in even though they might not look like that, the collar will hold them no problem

try putting the shock loosely in a vise upside-down, so the brake line bracket is resting on top of the two clamps of the vise, then put a piece of wood over the bottom of the shock, and hit it with a big ******* hammer.

Ahh my AGX's came with that bracket on them already, and psh I don't read walk-thrus or other instructions unless its things like cooking or stuff I'm bad at.

I remember hearing someone say "put it in hot water"? I think that will cause the ring to expand a bit so you can slide it off without damaging it too bad. Its wrth a shot.

yea i broke them...............i forgot to use THRUST...( pen lube) ...i did what u said but with a prybar and a sledge and broke it ...hehehhe

try calling import auto salvage (importautosalvage dot com), they're pretty close to MD (at least closer than i am) and will probably have it.

zip tie works well also.. but if you really want the bracket, i'd check an auto recycler

passenger side..........does it matter

my shocks already have the brackets for the brake lines i just need it for support in the forks

I just swung some vice grips along the stock shock to hit that thing off. Put a little pen. oil to help out too.
