Default Line-X Spray on Bedliner for engine bay?

Hey guys i've posted this before but i dont know where the thread went. Coudln't find it when I searched. What do you guys think about spraying the engine bay with Line-X spray on truck bed liner?

if you dont know what it is, it's basically a dent resistant, rust resistant, scratch resistant spray made for protection primarily of truck beds. It has a wrinkled look similar to that of a honda valve cover, but not exactly.

this is the best picture I could find

here is a link to the site http://www.line-x.com/advantage-3.htm

Well, just wondering, thanks

engine bay? i don't think that would work so well....?

the only way you would be able to do a decent/nice job would be to pull the motor.... and in that case why don't you just paint it the exterior color??!?!

as for the cabin, i have seen it done, and it can look clean. but i still think a nice base and clear coat looks better.

just my opinion

hmmm..... thats an interesting idea. I wouldnt do the engine bay though.
I think it would look great in the "gutted cars". In fact I think I may do it to mine.

No more worrying about asshats keying your car!!! hehe jp

Yeah, everything on my car is completely stripped, so this is why I was considering doing it. I thought it would be cool not to worry about scraping the engine bay paint while doing work under the hood, but i'm still considering just painting it a base/clear the same color that i plan to paint my car.

Oh, yeah.. for those who spray it inside of their gutted cars, the line-x doubles as a sound deadener(sp?). So that's a plus also.

Is it heavy as well?

My car is gutted, but I wouldn't want to add more weight. It would make me a ricer to gut the car for weight and add a bunch of weight so its quieter, hah.
