i just got a 2002 CBR 600 F4i. the panels are fine in condition, but i want to paint it CW. and only cause i can't paint my hatch CW, cause its too much.

trying to get a ball park figure as to what it would cost me if i brought the panels i wanted painted into a shop and had them paint them CW...

 

I paid a grand to get mine all done in grand prix white. Professionally done. Want to but a set of fairing already painted less than 2 months old??

 

after shipping it would cost way too much, i'm considering a maaco job w/ a couple extra clears, i'm not looking for some top of the line professional job here.

Best bet is to take it to maaco and ask them as that sounds like the way you are leaning. Find out what kind of paint they are going to use as they tend to do a single stage paint and it will crack and flake if exposed to the sun for a long time. My sister had a car sprayed by em and that's what happened after ~2 yrs of exposure to the florida sun. I would think they are spraying enamels or something cheap. I spent 850 on my 929 and it came out ok. I recently painted my buddies zx12r metallic forest green and it cost over 200 in supplies alone. It came out better than the local bodyshop that painted it before it was stolen and recovered.

yeah i was considering doing it myself, but with the time i'm going to be spending on my civic, and how much i travel, it would be next to impossible.
