I'm 5/8 of the way there myself (zex cam in other head atm, z6 intake). I'd also suggest the injector upgrade (lude 310's probably), teg/si rear discs & bb/mc, and the accord wagon/itr caliper upgrade on 10.3" front discs.

Besides that...I would save the rest for a new SI or at least a b-series if you're going NA.

he has it down^^

make sure you do some serious head work, you can get ALOT of horspower from headwork alone.

after headwork, get some zc pistons, then upgrade drivetrain(clutch), 100shot, PnP the y8 mani along with the header of your choice, and also bore out the tb, then have the plenum of the im tapered and port-matched. all that should give you some good results.

o, and some weight reduction as well as tires could help too.

The 100 Shot is out of the question if he wants all motor.

I heard LS rods fit into the D series blocks, or just buy forged ones.

Some more:
Balance Crankshaft (rotating Assembly)
Valve Springs
Valve Retainers
Rev it to 9k.
