hey everybody, just got myself a 91 accond lx auto. Now i am havin problems with the idle, for example i am the lights and the idle is very low almost as if the car wants to stall. How can i fix this idle problem? Another problem i seem to be haven is when i leave a stop i get abit hesitation y is that and how can i fix that problem?

 

Idle could be many things. Alternator/battery or charging system is a place to start. Otherwise check idle adjustment.

Sounds like most 90-93 accords. Hesitation could be tranny or many other possibilities. Need more info for that.

 

theres one more thing its hard to shift out of park it shifts but its very stiff.Any thing for that ?

 

Both conditions can be caused by a dirty throttle body, and can be addressed by no more than removing the air inlet tube (from the aircleaner box) at the throttle body and cleaning inside with carburetor cleaner. In extreme cases, the Idle Speed Control Motor (ISC) also needs cleaning (and in some cases, replaced).
