compression test results... after n2o and boost.
So my stock f22b1 motor is starting to get some decent mileage to it... so I figured it is about time for a "check up" on it.
Afterall I bottled this motor for quite a while, routinely spraying a 55-75 shot on it... boosted it on the hack for a while, to get me running temp.... and now boosting more on a tuned hondata/ p28.
She has definately seen a fair bit of use and abuse... so, on to the compression test...
184-184-180-184
WOOOT!!! WOOOT!!!
and yet another reason why I love my f22... well that and having twice the power/ torq output of a stock jockey.

sorry to anyone who was hoping for a blow motor horror story.
btw anyone else know their compression #'s for reference...??

if i remember right, you're compression is right on the money... but just keep in mind that the results can vary a little depending on the compression gauge, how long they cranked it, etc. blah blah blah.
I got 180psi on all cylinders on my F22a1(non vtec) before i swapped it for my jdm h22 in my 94 prelude. It was a great engine i never had a single problem with it and its 8.8.1 compression screams bring on that boost. Your #'s look very good

Although, I am a little mad because I thought it was going to be a dead cylinder thread.......Before I opened it I thought it was gonna be 200 205 200 80 "Does anyone know what's wrong?"
Forgot one thing, Keep up the Good Tuning...............

Yeah we shall see how long it holds up before it needs to be built some... so far she is only seen 12 psi (max) although its been a nasty hot humid season out here.
I just need it to hold out long enough for me to get some other misc things done on the car.
Motor was tested warm. I let it roll over (with the dizzy unpluged) till the compression gauge peaked then stoped cranking and took my reading. Drop off the pressure, unscrewed my tester and moved to the next cyl.
On a side note... I kinda thought I had a cyl. slowly going south on me but maybe not after the compression test results. Maybe I am finally getting more comfortabe with it. Lets hope so... I need a little improvement... I cut some nasty 60 ft times last time I drove this to the track.
