Do you mind if I ask why you want different calipers? Is this for a track car?

The Spoon calipers were designed for a specific purpose.

They will provide better pedal feel and therefore better perception of modulation, and they will lengthen the life of stock sized brake pads.

If you're having a problem with rotors you are probably going to continue to have that problem because the rotor's heat dissipation will be the same.

For the same amount of money you'd be spending on the Spoon calipers, you could get a big brake kit that used larger sized pads and had bigger rotors. Although the rotors would be more expensive, they would last longer.

Just want to make sure you've thought of all the options and that the Spoon calipers are what you really want after knowing of the options.

I need to take a pictures of the 2 sets of pads I've gone through already with the new car (LS motor/brakes, stock calipers) - they're both pretty evenly worn through the backing plate, no pad taper here

Perhaps a braking system with some clamping force would evince some pad taper.

Humph.

Just because you have spherical bearings you're showing off?
