Default same problem, new info (shaking)

Ok here's what goin on. My car shakes and the steering wheel really shakes bad when driving.

at 0 -about 50 its a soft annoying shake and
from 55-80 it is awful, so bad i can barefly hold the steering wheel.(wont go past 80 with it shaking that bad)

now here is the strangest thing about it. If i drive straight for about a mile (interstate) then the shaking mostly goes away, just that soft annoying shake, but when i take any slight turns, ie. merging lane, turn in road, the violent shaking comes back and stays until i get straightened out for about another mile.

i have had all 4 tires balanced, no bent wheels. Alignment not done yet, but i dont think this is an alignment problem.

my guess is something in the front end is worn out after its 200k mile journey before i recieved the car but what could it be?

sounds like a bad axle or hub assembly

did you check your axle or hub assembly (wheel bearing)? It really sounds like an axle to me though.

Check all your ball joints too, especially on the tie rods.

My guess is wheel bearing or axles, or both. I just had both bearings and axles replaced with a similar problem and problem solved.

that is totally the symptoms of a bad alignment.

Once you get fast enough, the out of balance rotation causes god awful shaking. Then if you go faster, the centrifugal forces stop the wobbling (sorta)
