I need tips on painting my wheels "Graphite Grey". What is the process like sanding it down first or do i just paint it? And also what paint is recommended to use and where to get them? I already did a search and it was no use.

talk to dan (RedStarGSR) -- he painted his black and they look great

 

i painted my old HX wheels and they came out cool. i wet sanded it with a 800 grit, degreased it, rinsed it, dried it and painted it. Do the inner part of the wheel first.

 

my friend didnt even sand them down. just used high temp. engine paint. looks really good.

 

sand them. I didn't sand mine and the color and quality turned out great but the paint will chip off easier if you don't sand them.
