Does anybody make a floormat with reinforced pedal area for ep3?
My friend's birthday is coming up in about 2 weeks and his driver side floormat is in really bad condition, like deep grooves of missing carpet have formed underneath the clutch and brake pedal (he likes to shift by dragging his feet). This might not be a problem wth your cars because they are 2-3 years old max (compared to my 12yr old del sol), but he's only had the car for 2yrs and he's already driven 75K miles!
I want to get him a new floormat and i was wondering if any company makes them with a reinforced area below the pedals (like the momo floor mats)?
thanx

They are not as attractive, but I got a set of rubber mats from a Civic coupe and they fit very well. They won't hook, but they are heavy enough that they dont slip at all.

The originals are on sale at that site for $65.
I have 70K miles on my EP, and the original mats are starting to wear badly, so I know what you mean.
Since the OEM are only $65, though, I'd go that route, personally.

I guess if nobody makes an aftermakret floor mat, this will be the next best thing.

They should fit fine. To be sure you could check on EPHATCH.com
I need new mats too.

If EP Hatch tells you they fit right, then all I can say is that they are wrong.
Even just looking at the picture on their site, you can see that the cutout for the fuel filler lever is on the wrong side of the mat.
Please don't pay $300 for mats that don't fit right when you can get the OEM USDM Honda Access mats for $60. Jesus.
There are some smaller retailers who will occasionally have German CTR floor mats available, and these will fit perfectly where the JDM and UKDM will not. However, I do not see any of them listing the part right now.
