alright i have a 1998 ex witht he stock d16y8 in it, my Q is what codes throw a car into limp mode or if i jump the comp with a wire/ paper clip will there be a certain number/flashes for limp mode is is limp mode in a code, cause i am throwing a secondry O2 sensor code cause my O2 sensor is just flapping in the wind with my o2 sim. off, with that throw me into limp mode, will limp mode not aloow Vtec to "activate". also having the o2 senor just hanging (because test pipe has no bung) am i killing my gas mileage?

 

yeah limp mode means the car is going off a preset air fuel ratio because it cant read whats actually happening because the o2 is not in, go get a bung made, its like 20 bucks man.

 

yea so im putting my stock gutted cat back in witht eh o2 sensor and what shoudl i dot un hook my battery and rest the ecu?? will that take it out of limp mode

Either disconnect the battery or pull the fuse to the ECU.
