Need help badly plzzz.. engine swap wiring question. plz help a poor lad
OK, first off I have a 95 integra GSR with the stock motor and a 93 civic DX with a JDM GSR motor already in it. What i'm trying to do is take out both motors and put the integra motor into the civic. The Integra GSR wiring harness is in very good shape and all intact, but the civic wiring harness is looking a little different and not as organized. I'm guessing that the person that did the swap used the original civic wiring harness and added wires, i dunno...
Anyways this comes to one of my problems(if it is a problem, i dunno wut to do)
If you look at the picture below of the 95 Integra GSR motor you can see that it has that black thing with a hose(i spot colored it red
) going to the black tank thing and a hose going to the IM port. It also has a place where a sensor connects to it.

Well, if you look at the picture below of the JDM GSR it doesn't have that black thing, and there is just a hose that goes from the IM to the black tank thing.

Well my question now is what to do? If i use the wiring harness that is currently in the civic than I wont have a connector to hook up to that black thing and than I will possible get a check engine light??
Or
If I use the integra GSR harness I don't know if it will hook to whatever is going on in the car since i really only took out half the harness(not the whole thing that runs through the firewall)
I plan to use my my integra gsr ecu for this project and I really don't know the right route to take to get everything to work. I guess I could just use the harness thats already in there and take off that black thing but wouldn't I get a CEL??!
Someone please lead me in the right direction, i got to get this bad boy done tommorrow.
THANK YOU

Your 2nd picture looks like an OBD-2 GSR which has a different valve that mounts over farther. Like #5 here. That hose isn't supposed to go directly to the EVAP canister.

My GSR was like your 1st picture, so I'm not sure... Looks like the OBD-2 valve is supposed to mount on top of the IM #3 runner?? You probably should use whichever valve matches the ECU. If you get an OBD-2 purge control valve, you simply have to figure a way to mount it so it's not banging around.
