wastegate Question?

Default wastegate Question?

OK I just got a turbo kit and it has a 38mm wastegate and I dont know alot about turbo stuff but somone told me that the 38mm will be to big for my d16a6 and I was just wondering if this is true and I should get a smaller one or if this dude is smokin crack lol

I don't see how you can have too big of a wastegate. But I'm an NA person, so who knows... Try posting the question in the FI forum.

Just use the 38mm WG, you'll be fine.

The wastegate only controls boost, the size of it does not matter. 38mm is the standard for newer turbo kits these days.

Tial doesn't even make the 35mm anymore....

The 38mm is the smallest Tial wastegate. It will work fine.
