Split in Wastegate diaphram

Having a look at my wastegate I noticed that this is a split in the wastegate diaphram.

The big question is will the wastegate still work and will it be safe to use??

If there is a tear in the diaphram I would say its not going to work at all and will be very unsafe.

Is there any method of mending the tear in the diapram, glue, etc

I would try and find a replacement diaphram.
