Default gsr manifold on a ls head? does this work and would i benefit over the stock ls?

i am just wondering because i have a friend building a gsr motor and he is giving me a bunch of parts like the manifold and throttle body. not the head though...i will basically have everything besides the head which i plan to make a frank soon. if it will bolt on, how would i control the butterfly's? are they solenoid or vac operated? thanks.

ok thanks. that's what i love to hear. all i am saying is..."when someone tells me something can't be done or it doesn't fit" i say "then i f-ing bet you that i'll make it fit and work". i'm not the "if it doesn't bolt on then i don't want to mess with it". i'll figure it out then. that's what always happens anyway.
